High quality entries in the Apps4Finland contest signal a major leap in open data applications in Finland
The winners of the Apps4Finland contest were awarded on 22 November in front of a full house in Helsinki. The contest inspired a record number of entries and their quality was extremely high. The competition, staged now for the third time in Finland, encourages citizens to develop new ways to utilise the open databanks of the public administration.

Finnish start-ups victorious abroad
Finnish start-ups Kiosked, Scred and Fluid Interaction have all been victorious in international competitions lately. All three have also received sparring in this year's Growth Coaching program, produced by the City of Helsinki's Department of Economic Development and Forum Virium Helsinki.

Games for elderly to aid reminiscing
Express to Connect aims to develop web services for elderly to facilitate personal storytelling. The project has produced several game concepts which are being tested and developed further based on the testers' feedback.

Stadi.TV and Tallinna TV to join forces
Stadi.TV has started a program exchange with Tallinna television in Estonia. The two channels exchange both cultural and current affair programs on a weekly basis. The programs give us a chance to peek into our neighbour countries' everyday lives.
