How we work

Forum Virium Helsinki develops new digital services together with businesses, the City of Helsinki and other public operators. 


The services are developed and tested in cooperation with their end users, the citizens. Our aim is to rapidly launch pilot projects in which the services can be tested in practice.

Five project areas

From idea into project

Development projects are the main form of operations for Forum Virium Helsinki. Our role varies according to the situation. We can take on the innovation of a project, act as an advisor, take care of the administrative duties while preparing the project or carry the overall responsibility of the full execution of a project.

Forum Virium Helsinki works in active cooperation with the public sector, companies and service end-users, encouraging higher interaction between the parties. When the right needs meet at the right time, new, innovative services are born. For example, the City of Helsinki has chosen Forum Virium Helsinki as their partner in service development.

A development project well completed is culminated in its execution and results.

User-centric approach

In Forum Virium Helsinki, products and services are being developed together with the citizens as a part of the user's everyday life. The end-users take part in these projects as potential consumers, but also, more importantly, as developers of new services and content producers.

User experiences and feedback are gathered in various ways, and used to further improve the product or service. For companies, new business opportunities can be found through this method.
